Beatriz embodies our family’s shared history, geography, and ardent passion for bringing people together over great food and wine.
Both Portuguese & British, our family’s story began with Beatriz.
Born in Porto in 1870, Beatriz Leitão Carvalhosa Atkinson had family ties to the port trade even before she met and married Andrew James Symington – the first Symington to arrive in Porto. Together, they built a legacy that continues today with our family’s fifth generation.
